Power BI Essentials is a 12-week online course for users
to use Power BI Desktop effectively.
The Power BI Essentials package is aimed at your workforce becoming more data literate.
Tailor-made courses are specifically created to suit the needs of your business.
Course summary:
- Design reports that support business strategy
- Create a reporting suite on the Power BI desktop
- Identify ways reporting can directly support the business strategy
The course contains:
Workshops and 1:1 sessions supplemented with support for reporting for specific roles. Ongoing support using a blended approach of technical instruction and application with users’ unique datasets.
Course outcomes:
At the end of the Power BI Essentials course, learners will:
- Connect to multiple sources of data
- Transform and cleanse data.
- Set up relationships in datasets in readiness for data visualisations.
- Present and visualise data using the most appropriate visual to support stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the business context for the reports they produce and explain how the report is intended to support business outcomes.
Course timescale:
During the 12 weeks, learners will:
- Attend three workshops, each lasting 2 hours. A recording of the session will be made available.
- Attend 6 x 1:1 hourly sessions. A recording of the session will be made available.
- Complete activities and, or assignments set during workshops and 1:1 sessions.
- Have email access to the course instructor during the 12 weeks.
Pricing
Pricing for the Power BI Essentials course is £2,100 per person. The cohort size is a minimum of 4 people. The price includes an aftercare package of additional 1:1 support once the 12-week training package has finished (up to 4 hours per person to be used within three months of course completion). The extra time helps support learners as they continue their journey. The price per person reduces as the cohort size increases.
